Only 9 weeks to go...

It dawned on me last night that I have to stay indoors for another 9 weeks.... thank god for good weather, a garden and Andrew!!

We are now worryingly up to 7200 deaths, and apparently still haven't hit the peak...

It's Easter weekend as of tomorrow,  and I wonder how many prats will decide to go out...?

Getting used to it...

So... we are getting used to this...

A letter came from the GP telling me that's it for 12 weeks... so whay am I going to do?!

The death toll has nearly reached 5000, and it's weird... you become desensitised to it - we are desperately trying to avoid the news.

Andrew's now got some time off, so itnis prime sort out time - we did the shed today in the beautiful weather... might have got sunburnt!  But I suppose it's not as if anyone's going to see me!

Things doing my head in - disorganization, cadets...., tldw?!?!?

Every emotion

So I haven't been on here for a few days;but let me tell tou I have expereiences every emotion possible....

Yay a holiday!
Omg people are dying...
Stress - how am I supposed to work from home?
Anxiety...
Hair faling out
Wow! I get to spend so much time withmy family...

It's like the different stages of grief!

I think I made it up to 7 kids send me work - out of around 90 odd I teach!

I have tried desperately hard to keep the news off, but we have now hit over 1300 deaths; I've registered as a vulnerable person and contacted the consultant l... but nothing... don't know what I am to do about work.

I also, ashamedly binge watched a whole Netflix series in a day...!  Thw Tiger King... bonkers, but that killed 6 hours in a day.  Also started jigsaw numero 2...

Will update again soon - this is day 14 of not seeing the world...

The end of the first week in lockdown

This article is one to be told in the future... this event has now become part of our country's  history.

Time flies when you're having fun - it jas actually gone quite quickly. I don't know if that's because I have tried to keep busy, tried to do lota of different  activities  with Harry, or if it's because I just don't know what day of the week it is!

Had another good, useful moderating session with the faculty via Microsoft Teams, but 2 1/4 hours in front of the screen gave me a headache!

I have tried to keep the news off as it just gives me terrible anxiety... the thought  of Birmingham airport becoming a temporary morgue is particularly scary... but the irony of Prince Charles, Boris Johnson, Matt Jancock, the Health Secretary and Prof Chris Witty, the Chief Medical Officer all testing positive did make me slightly chuckle, but also made me realise, in the words of Michael Gove who stepped up to the press conference lectern, "this virus does not discriminate".

Still no easier...

So the prospect of a new hospital, NHS Nightingale in the Excel centre  that will hold 4000 beds.... is very scary to say the least.  The death toll has also risen to over 400 now - I fear this is some sort of calm before the storm...

Work... so 1 student sent me some work to mark!  Out of a class of 19! Can't say I blame the kids, but if I were them, I would would be bored!

Had a moment with mum yesterday - we just want to have a hug 😔 a virtual one just won't do.

So here's to another day of madness, boredom, killing time and keeping a small person occupied and giving him a sense of normality...
